Java Washed Ganung Patuha
Medium/Dark
Indonesia
Grown on the mountain called Ganung Patuha this coffee is an effort consisting of 33 farmers. It is also part of an effort known as Rancabali, a conservation center for animals.
Most coffees in Java are grown on government estates and they’re not bad but they’re not expressive in complexity. This particular coffee comes from a microlot and is a fully washed coffee rather than semi washed(wet-hulled). You learn a lot in the coffee world about how many variables exist in farming, production, roasting and brewing…. It seems endless!
Enjoy its black pepper and chocolate notes. A smooth coffee from start to finish. You may notice a touch of smokiness but we pull back keep it at the border line of being a medium/dark roast so as to not smother its complexity.
